Ratan peacock chairs and tropical palm fonds are not something you typically associate with palaces, but this wedding in Spain shows that sometimes thinking outside the box with your wedding design pays off. Esther and Pablo knew they wanted something clean and easygoing for their wedding, nothing too stuffy. After the stress of the past several years, they wanted their guests to relax and be comfortable. When they fell in love with Mas Les Lloses, one of Spain's illustrious palace venues, it seemed as though their original design may have to adapt to fit this more regal space, but their planner assured them that the fusion of the two aesthetics would create just the right ambiance and give their guests an experience they would never forget.
Romeos & Julietas completely understood the couple's vision and worked closely with each of the vendors to bring this effortlessly chic tropical inspiration to life. Instead of an indoor ceremony in the palace's onsite chapel (which they used for the dance party), they opted for a more boho approach. Mix and match rugs created the perfect aisle through the stately orange grove and El Taller De Clo created a modern ceremony arch from dried pampas grass and other tropical foliage. It's clear from these photos by Marie Marry Me that the couple and their guests were able to let go and truly enjoy themselves on this magical day. Esther and Pablo wanted to celebrate their wedding with traditional touches but also reflect their fresh and modern spirit, that's why they chose this typical palace venue but dressed with flowers and a multicolored palette that makes it look quite rustic but also chic and modern at the same time. Their civil ceremony was in the gardens, surrounded by all the orange trees (breathtaking!). Then they surprised all their guests with a DJ cabin in the small church of the palace where they held a massive party with a drinks corner and a BBQ that lasted almost until morning. Their wedding planner also had several surprises for the couple, like a doughnut tower (something they secretly wished for). Their faces lit up when they discovered each surprise.
1. Let things flow and enjoy every moment. They were quite stressed because of all the restrictions due to Covid-19, but finally, they had a better party than they could have imagined.
2. Don't forget to ask for help. Even if you are very good at planning things, a wedding is very specific! This couple decided to trust a wedding planner for all the logistics and the decorations to have that WOW effect, and they always said it was the best decision they made.
3. Have a plan B just in case. This couple was able to celebrate their wedding in the orange grove as planned, but they also had a plan B just in case it rained. Be sure you have everything under control, so you can enjoy your big day without worries!
