California is known for its beautiful weather but it can have some seasonal mists that settle in and give the landscape an ethereal feeling too! So when this next couple decided to showcase California for all their guests, they couldn't have been happier to welcome the fog on their wedding day.
So now I mist ask your a serious question, would you get married on a foggy autumn day? Cuz I totally would after seeing all the amazing shots that Onelove Photography captured of Sandra and Jason's big day! You can see every last bit of it when you visit the full gallery here.
From the Bride: Jason and I knew we wanted to highlight the natural beauty of the California coast. Not only is California where we both grew up, it’s also where we fell in love. This was an opportunity to share a little bit of California with our guests who were traveling from all over -- even as far as Morocco! We wanted our guests to have a great time so we included activities such as Jenga during cocktail hour, a photobooth in the barn, and s’mores at the outdoor fireplace. The chef cooking paella in front of our guests was a huge hit too.
The misty weather added to the magic of the day. It’s about the experience and not perfecting every detail. Something unplanned is bound to happen; just embrace it. And, having a map of your venue is very helpful when talking to your vendors and wedding party!
Dinner was served family style. The idea was to create an experience that was warm and welcoming. Our venue had so much character already that we didn’t want to decorate much. We added a few light touches of flowers and mementos. The day before the wedding, we made the small flower arrangements with buckets of seasonal flowers from our florist.
We had a table with pictures of our parents and grandparents near the photobooth. And we chose to have long farm tables with mismatched rustic chairs to match the feel of the venue.
