For this particular couple the question was never if they would have their wedding in Napa; but rather where in Napa they would have it.
"After an exhaustive search and site visits to wineries and other Napa venues, the couple decided to host their celebration at Auberge du Soleil. Auberge was the couple's favorite Sunday brunch location. Off the beaten path, up a winding road, it's perched at the top of Rutherford Hill Road overlooking the Napa Valley. The terrace where the ceremony takes place overlooks the entire valley with unobstructed views of the Macaymus Mountains, surrounding wineries and is encapsulated by gorgeous soaring trees and natural landscape. The couple selected the venue because of its overwhelming beauty, breathtaking panoramic views, unparalleled service, cuisine, and the attention to detail that Auberge is known for." ~ Gianna Cardinale (bride)
I love Auberge du Soleil, but nothing tickles me more than when a bride uses her imagination and brings in a design that clearly asserts itself from the natural surroundings and makes a terrific statement. Gianna Cardinale is the mastermind behind this incredible celebration. Together with the couple, the planner has combined the artistry and delicate nature of the black damask print with the soft lines and the French chateau feeling of Auberge - brilliant!
"The couple wanted the wedding to highlight Napa's natural beauty yet still have an elegant, formal feeling. They settled on "vintage - chic" style for the affair, using a black and white color palette with accents of eggplant and blush.... The couple knew the weather in Napa can be very warm in September, so the programs were shaped as lacy fans and waiters passed fresh lemonade and sparkling water to the guests before the ceremony... The ceremony was outside on the terrace where garlands of white flowers adorned the railings of the balcony, clear vases of white lilies flanked the altar and the aisles, roses and gardenias floated in the fountain, and white rose petals were strewn on the ground...." ~ Gianna Cardinale (bride)
The service at Auberge is to die for. They are just one of those properties that thinks about everything, which allows you to concentrate on all the personal details. This spectacular celebration is a perfect fit. From the champagne flutes with the personalized "wine charm" as your escort card to the lounge which magically appeared on the terrace during dinner, every little detail was well orchestrated, timed, and designed.
