When you're on the hunt for the perfect wedding venue, it's easy to fall in love with a gorgeous villa or charming barn, and while the structure itself is important, don't forget to check the background. Surprisingly, the building you get married in will end up in just a few of your photos. Sure, bits and pieces of it will be in the photos, and a good venue adds to the overall ambiance of the day, but the true hero (or downfall) of any venue is its backdrop–take this humble Airbnb rental in Colombia that boasts a view that would make even the gods envious.

Caro and Juanse were one of those couples who found a reason to tie the knot in a different way, because of the pandemic-their own way. In a small village called Guateque, among pines, mountains, and fresh air, there is a modern house called Casa Brumma (which translates to Mist House). The morning after the wedding of Caro and Juanse, we witnessed why that name is absolutely perfect for this place.
They lit thirteen candles on their way to the altar, one for each year they were together. And there, in a ceremony with incense and beautiful words, they closed a time in their lives and started a new era in their relationship. The ceremony was performed by Juliana, of Mujer Palosanto, but Caro and Juanse designed every meaningful ritual that took place that day with her help.
The perfect ceremony was followed by a short couple’s session and the evening concluded with a dinner at the most perfect sweetheart table. The decorations were inspired by the groom's love of metal music and the bride's love for plants. Jessi, the talented girl behind Flora Wedding Studio, managed to mix those two worlds to create two beautiful sets, the one for the ceremony and the one for dinner. The next morning a dream post-wedding shoot took place with an incredible sunrise as the background, enhanced by the mist. Caro used her boho dress once again to walk around the house and enjoy the last hours in the mountains, where the sun shines and love never ends.
