Who else is wishing they could just wonder down a white sand beach right now? Fall is wonderful, but the chance to listen to waves crashing and watch palm trees sway will always win out in my mind. This might be why I'm so in love with this beautiful blush and gold glam wedding. Not only is this day so perfectly decked out but this venue has us grasping at words to describe how perfect it is!!!

From the Bride: When Galen and I first started thinking about our wedding, we knew we wanted to incorporate the outdoors, adventure and a unforgettable experience as these were important pillars for our relationship. For our wedding, we knew whatever we planned we wanted to celebrate our love with our crew of friends and family on an adventure! That feeling mixed with our mutual love for the outdoors led us to the idea of a beach getaway.
When we came across the Jellyfish Restaurant online we immediately fell in love. The theme for our special day was bohemian beach chic. I’m a bit of an easy-breezy whimsical hippie but also love the fine details (I know, total oxymoron right?) We aimed for rose gold and soft accent colours to let the natural turquoise waters stand out – the ghost chairs helped here as well! We incorporated long family style rustic Tuscan tables with table length garland and rose gold sequin runners.
Lighting was another big one for us. Candles and bistro lighting were extremely charming especially in the open air Jellyfish Restaurant under the stars. We had hanging bird cage flowers and a suspended cake table.
Lastly, something that was important to Galen was finding a way to incorporate our grandparents so we had framed photos of them on their wedding days surrounding the welcome and cake table.
Galen surprised me with the sweetest message on the bottom of my shoe I almost collapsed while reading it – it put the biggest smile on my face and took any nerves away. He also surprised me by embroidering our names and wedding date on the inside of his suit jacket.
For our wedding day presents I gave Galen a pair of nautical Birks Cuff Links and Galen gave me a beautiful double interlocking bracelet from Tiffany’s. I carried on the nautical theme with my sisters present which was a Kate Spade sailor’s knot bangle.
We had never-ending crafted-with-care DIY surprises:
hand written vows,
lace barefoot bridal sandals I made for my bridesmaids,
my wedding ring was made from my late grandmothers ring,
Galen wore his late grandfathers Breitling watch,
our “mutual” first look,
embroidered handkerchiefs for our parents,
our ceremonial nautical lover’s knot we tied,
our magnet save-the-dates,
even our facebook live stream for our VIPs back home – love was everywhere.
