From Catie Coyle Photography: The San Juan Islands are one of my favorite places to visit in the Pacific Northwest. When Lauren and Stu contacted me about photographing their Roche Harbor wedding I was excited from the start. These California residents have a deep love for the Pacific Northwest and wanted to treat their guests to an incredible destination wedding in Friday Harbor.
Lauren and Stu’s wedding took place on a gorgeous September day. They were surrounded by the sweetest group of friends and family and of course, their adorable pup Bailey. A highlight of the day was riding in the open air trolley to the Lime Kiln lighthouse for bridal party pictures and family photos. Music was playing and everyone was just having the best time, celebrating Lauren and Stu and soaking up the incredible views and the warm weather.
Their garden ceremony was beautifully decorated by Leah of Bloom San Juan. I think my favorite moment of the entire day was when Bailey the pup decided to take a nap in between her humans as they exchanged their vows. I love it when couples include their fur babies in their wedding day festivities.
After the ceremony, guests were treated to cocktails and appetizers in the courtyard before sitting down to a delicious dinner. The toasts were another highlight of the evening. Lauren’s grandma stole the show and had everyone in stitches. I ended the evening with Lauren and Stu soaking up that golden hour light in the garden and loving every second of my time with them.
