When picking your wedding theme, it's important to understand what you and your honey are most comfortable with. Art Deco meets Geo Stone meets Southern Charm. Brooke + Tim's wedding was a beautiful (yet very interesting!) mash-up of many elements that somehow just worked. The couple longed for a beautiful and intimate Charleston affair but wanted a personal funky twist on things. The incorporation of crystals and metals and golds gave this wedding day the perfect modern touch that many weddings in the Southeast simply lack!
Our favorite moment from the day was easily Brooke's first look with their dog - Dublin! Such a sweet moment between the two!
When planning our wedding, our goal was to create a unique, intimate, and fun environment for us and our guests to enjoy. Honestly, our wedding theme matches the theme of our house decor haha! In our house, you will find a mix of gold and rose gold metals along with agates and geometric shapes. We both really love this style and thought it would add a touch of “us” to our wedding day.
The moment we remember most is the first looks - our first look and our first look with the venue :) It's tough to choose just one as there were just so many great moments. After the wedding, we have a few vacations planned (so excited!!) and some house projects, but we really plan to take this time to soak in every moment as husband and wife.
It’s not every day that a client comes to you with no particular venue in mind and fully trusts your expertise to find the perfect spot for their celebration. When we first met with Brooke and Tim to start the venue search, we learned quickly that they loved an outdoor feel, but wanted something intimate and urban for their reception.
A quaint ceremony was held at The Confederate Home’s lush gardens with a show-stopping hexagon arbor full of bold blooms and complimenting linear chairs was the perfect start! The couple had their sweet pup, Dubin, join in on the ceremony as their trusted 'ring bearer' and stuck around for some adorable portraits.
The reception followed at Charleston’s newest venue, Merchants Hall adorned with bold, beautiful crystal chandeliers and exposed brick. It was the perfect slate to showcase the West Elm meets bohemian vibe that Brooke loved. Guests were greeted with personalized Moscow mule mugs to serve as escort cards and double as a favor! Lush centerpieces full of air plants, protea, greenery, geodes and accents of rose gold and copper were the perfect compliment to the urban setting. The cake incorporated the agate element which was completely created out of sugar and it sure was a show stopper!
