When it came time to kick-start the wedding planning, Rachel decided to plan a big wedding that she never knew she wanted, and we’re so glad she did! Rachel and Nicks laid-back day was anything but boring with rustic charm, boho-esque style, and fun personalized details that we can’t help but love.
Speaking of love, if there's one thing we love most of all, it’s fashion! Rachel looked absolutely stunning in her wedding dress from Lover's Society, and just wait till you see her bridesmaids! From the bride: We dated for six years, traveled to seven countries together, and adopted two kitties. One night in August we were walking on the beach in Ocean City and came across a heart made out of candles and rose petals inside spelling 'will you marry me'. Both of our families were there, and Nick proposed right as the sun started to set.
I always thought we would elope or have a small intimate wedding, but the second I was engaged I wanted to start planning the dream wedding I never knew I wanted. I initially looked into modern/industrial venues, but then fell in love with the rustic charm of Shadow Creek. I wanted the overall vibe to feel romantic, but laid back and fun.
One of my favorite design elements was the hanging hoops above our sweetheart table. The second I saw those beams I knew I wanted to have some type of floral arrangement hang from them, and the hoops were the perfect solution for our budget. I liked the contrast of the rustic farm tables for the bridal party and the more traditional round tables. I also had a lot of fun making the farm animals for the 'find your party animal' escort cards. We had to include our cat babies in our big day, too, so we had our signature drinks named after them and I loved how the sign we ordered on Etsy turned out.
