When it comes to wedding planning, the best ideas always start with “don’t think I’m crazy, but…” and this chic wedding was full of them. Cassie + Kyle’s luxe day came together with a unique mix of contemporary meets romance in black and gold. Warm candlelight and the prettiest starry ceiling set a romantic atmosphere for their celebration styled by Eight Seven Events, and that’s JUST the lighting people.
The wild florals from Sophie Felts Floral Design are out of the world gorgeous and went beautifully with the modern place settings + black candle sticks. From the brides gorgeous wedding dress to the elegant marble wedding cake, this wedding is oozing with custom details + style that we can’t get enough of. Ready for a closer look? The Willinghams Photography did an amazing job capturing this wedding, so enjoy it below and in the full gallery.
From Eight Seven Events: Cassie and Kyle met at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and were engaged along the Chicago River. These two busy bees work from morning until night, so they didn't have a ton of time for wedding planning. So they enlisted me, after being recommended by a friend. We established the wedding vision - luxe, chic and unique - then thoughtfully designed their wedding, which oozed with detail.
The best ideas always start with "don't think I'm crazy but..." and this wedding was full of them. From the starry sky lighting install which reflected over the sleek black dance floor and the custom black acrylic place card coasters, cork and gold foil menus with vellum overlay, fawn colored glassware with knotted napkins to match and wild, textural floral arrangements. A lush sweeping garland over the 24 ft acrylic head table and an inverted raised arrangement were the cherry on top, along with a romantic round floral ceremony backdrop with a garden lined aisle. I love working with vendors who think outside the box. Each one of these vendors brought their A game to make this wedding extra custom for Cassie + Kyle.
