It's Fall, it's beautiful, its the perfect time of year to dust off anything mustard yellow, which is exactly what this next couple did. But the reason we truly fell head over heels in love with this beautiful day was the unique welcome table that stood as a memorial for the brides and photographers father.
Snag a few tissues, you might need them, and get ready to be wowed by this fabulous day! Oh and to see more of Catherine Cansler Photography's wonderful images, be sure to stop by the full gallery!
Hi! My name is Catherine Cansler Akins, and I am the owner of Catherine Cansler Photography. My sister Gracie had her dream wedding back on November 11th, 2017 at Ramble Creek in Athens, TN which is about 40 Minutes away from the Chattanooga area. She spent months planning out every part of her day and put a lot of hard work into some of the most intricate details I have ever seen!
I took on the role of Maid of honor/Photographer and documented the day as much as I could. Being a wedding photographer for the last eight years has been extremely rewarding as I get to witness love stories unfold every weekend. I take every wedding seriously, but this wedding was extra special and close to my heart.
As an extremely close-knit family, I am one of three girls, and the bond we all share is inseparable. About four years ago, we lost my dad in a tragic accident and it brought us even closer together, but more importantly, it seemed to seal Gracie and Evan's bond permanently!
Not only was the day beautiful in every way, but I loved how she weaved parts of my dad into the day as if he was there! My dad was a huge "bowtie man," and would wear one any time he had an excuse to. Because of that, Gracie included a "bowtie bar" for the guests to see when they walked up and were then allowed to pick out one of the many handpicked ties that she chose to wear during the evening.
Another special detail that Gracie chose was an artist from Atlanta who does handmade calligraphy. Her signs (wooden, Acrylic, etc) were displayed all over the venue for guests to see throughout the night.
One of the final details I loved about the day other than the AMAZING and unique wedding dress that she was wearing, was the color palette she picked. With her wedding being held in the fall she wanted neutrals in her flowers and bridesmaids dresses but wanted a pop of color. She chose a deep mustard for pop, which I loved and thought photographed beautifully! There were several details throughout the day that amazed me, but these were some of my favorites!
