How to Add a Hint of Disney Into a Chic Cabo Wedding

Newlyweds happily walk down the aisle after wedding ceremony

After 8 years of dating, these two tied the knot in style at the beautiful Acre Baja, in Cabo, Mexico. They wanted their celebration to be a week they would never forget, and opted for a non-traditional wedding with only their closest friends and family in attendance in beautiful Cabo.

Their intimate wedding was chic and sophisticated with all white blooms, greenery, and gold accents throughout. Best of all? These two Disney fans just couldn’t resist adding a bit of magic to their day with music from Toy Story and Mickey and Mini cake toppers! So cute! Read more from the bride below, and catch a closer look in the full gallery captured by EHM Fotografia.

Palm Springs Feel in Cabo

From the bride: I looked at so many venue options in Cabo and San José, but the moment I saw Acre Baja, I knew I had to have my wedding there! It is such a beautiful oasis in the middle of a desert. I loved the fun Palm Springs look of their design, the blue tile floors, as well as their farm to table style menu, and delicious cocktails. Their event planner, Jessica recommended Bonnie Chase to me! Bonnie instantly put all of my stress and worries at ease. Bonnie and Heidi both understood the overall look I wanted for our wedding, and the day went perfect thanks to them!

Simple and chic

We kept the flowers all white with greenery because Acre’s landscape is so stunning on its own I didn’t want to take away from it at all. I had one long family-style table, I wanted it to feel like one large family dinner, for the decor I kept it simple in shades of grey with touches of gold and white. Instead of having traditional name cards, we had grey agate slices trimmed in gold with our guests names on them. Our menus also incorporated a geometric theme with grey and gold, and we had gold geometric candle holders throughout the space. One of my favorite memories was our introduction to the StarWars Imperial March!

For the disney fans

Everyone who knows Matt and I know how much we love Disney, so we added a subtle touch with our cake topper which was mouse ears on Mr. and Mrs., and we cut our cake to “You got a friend in me” from Toy Story. The night before the wedding, we opted for a rehearsal dinner cruise instead of a traditional sit down dinner, this was gorgeous and so much fun, after we were able to enjoy our last “single night” at CaboWabo with the entire group, all of our guest still talk about how memorable the entire week was.
