The lovely and historic Cairnwood Estate in Pennsylvania was the perfect backdrop for this super elegant day. Beautiful chalkboard signage and custom details, like their mini Limoncello wedding favors added a personalized touch that's both charming and pin-worthy. Oh and did we mention how much we love the bridesmaids blush dresses from J.Crew?

From the bride: I was born in New York and raised outside of Philadelphia, and my now-husband is from outside of Pittsburgh. We were married close to the home I was raised in, at the Cairnwood Estate. It was such a beautiful and special place to us, with connections to both of our birthplaces - it was the home of John Pitcairn, a Pittsburgh industrialist, and designed and landscaped by men who were responsible for several well-known New York City landmarks.
Our wedding day could not have been more perfect, and we felt so incredibly blessed to celebrate our love and commitment with all of our favorite people in one place. Aside from this, one of our favorite things about our day was how wonderful all of our vendors were. I didn't realize how important it was to have incredible vendors until we started wedding planning and realized how much we loved working with them all!
We tried to incorporate fun, personalized details throughout our day. I wore two pearl necklaces - one from my mother and one from my husband's mother. A string quartet played at our ceremony, and we had our guests toss lavender as we walked back down the aisle as husband and wife.
For favors, we provided our guests with homemade limoncello and macarons. Along with wedding cake, we enjoyed a dessert of miniature ice cream cones, which was perfect for our Independence Day weekend wedding!
I'd say my advice would be to plan your wedding with your own personalities in mind. So many people worry about the way things "should" be done, but it's more important to let your own personalities shine through. For example, we had our wedding at a beautiful, historical estate, but our rehearsal dinner was hosted by my husband's mother in my parents' backyard.
