This next couples high school romance turned into a candle lit romance wedding that we are sure you are going to love! From the brides Ah-mazing Mikaella Bridal gown to the beautifully glowing wedding ceremony that was lit by rows of flickering candles, we are completely, head over heels for this gorgeous autumn wedding.
How epic is this bridal shot above?! We have to say that the whole wedding was shot in a similar fashion, so if you are dying over the photos you should definitely check out Steve Cowell Photography. You can see even more of his work and the details from this big day in our full gallery here.
From the Bride: Cole and I both grew up in Orange County and attended the same high school. We became friends senior year through mutual friends and started dating a few months after we met. As we graduated high school and summer ended, we went off to college. But we were lucky as we both went to LA for school...Cole went to UCLA and I went to USC. We stayed together all throughout college braving LA traffic and busy schedules to make time to see each other. By the time graduation rolled around 4 years later, we already knew we would marry each other someday. Following graduation, we moved in together, bought a puppy and started our careers.
A few months later on Christmas Eve, Cole proposed in front of our favorite chocolate shop in Laguna Beach, CA. He pulled some strings ahead of time for the engagement ring to be placed in our box of chocolates. Outside of the store, Cole opened the box, got down on one knee and proposed.
We knew we wanted to have a longer engagement to enjoy our engagement and hopefully have a less stressful wedding planning process, not to mention we had both just recently started our first full-time jobs. It also gave us ample time to really think about the kind of wedding we wanted and what was important to us. As a few months went by, we had decided we wanted a romantic and intimate wedding in the fall, just when the weather started to get a bit colder.
When we visited Carondelet House, we instantly knew we wanted to get married there. The vibe was warm, cozy and romantic and was exactly what we were looking for. We also knew we wanted to hire a full-time planner because we wanted to make sure we enjoyed the planning process. We hired XOXO Weddings and they made the planning process a dream. We got married a year later at Carondelet House with our closest family and friends and had the best night of our life!
