Bali really is a dream wedding location, and who better to introduce a dream wedding, than those who had the dream in the first place! Below is a little backstory on this fabulous event as well as a full gallery of images for you to peruse after the post thanks to the talents of ILUMINEN. Enjoy!
We chose Bali because it's a good place for our family and friends that were coming from all over the world. Uluwatu has an amazing view and it's far from the crowded and hectic area. We wanted the wedding to be intimate; we wanted to celebrate our wedding only with close friends and family. Khayangan was perfect, not only was the view amazing, but the Javanese architecture also linked to my family heritage. It was a great way to introduce some of my heritage to Aurélien’s parents since we didn’t have time to go to Java. Color-wise, we don't' like things to be too colorful. In terms of our wardrobe, something chic and modern.
Take a year ! It was one of the biggest decision. Places are normally booked out for a year or even two years in advance. Choose a great wedding planner the one that you have a good feeling with, the one that listens and actually texts you back. Create a perfect party for the guests, but most importantly, it's your wedding, make it meaningful and fun for you. ( We finished ours in a pool party with our friends!) I did start out with making a mood board on Pinterest, and Instagram is your best friend.
