This private estate Napa wedding celebrated the sweet union of a talented and beautiful couple who met while studying at neighboring colleges; she was studying at Starbucks, and he was working as the barista. The two now work as an art director (Sarah) and for CBS television (Michael).
Advice: I think the thing I would have done differently is take even more of our photos before the wedding so we could have enjoyed some of our cocktail hour. It would have been nice to have that extra time to talk to our guests.
They chose a private villa drenched in sunlight and covered in olive trees for the location of their wedding. With her keen artistic sensibility, Sarah commissioned a graphic designer to design all of the paper goods for the wedding. She wanted an aesthetic as unique as the location of the wedding, a private estate with centuries-old European interiors overlooking acres and acres of vineyards.
The beauty of this couple's love was echoed in the presence of her grandparents, married 64 years, who danced the evening away. In other interesting details, this turned out to be an earth-shattering event, as it took place on the eve of the great Napa earthquake.
