Being an easy going bride might seem like the ultimate fantasy but our next couple says it can be done. Some things are just out of your hands and the truly important things will work out the way they are suppose to. So sit back and take a little advice from this go with the flow purple and blue library wedding in California!
You can find even more of this fabulously chill day in the full gallery here thanks to the photography talents of Adrienne Gunde Photography. You might also be eyeing the adorable watercolor table numbers at their reception. You can actually down load those for free from our Free Printable page. There is a whole suite that goes with them called Watercolor Strokes.
From the Bride: Since neither of us are California natives but we were now living in LA, we knew we wanted to have an outdoor ceremony in a location that would feature the beautiful California scenery. When we visited the historic library, it immediately went to the top of the list because it had an outdoor ceremony space just steps from the beach (but without having to deal with the sand!) and a charming indoor reception space. The rest of the planning and decor just fell into place after that. I ended up spending quite a bit of time on the reception decor, most of which was DIY, but it was so fun because I hadn't done much arts and crafts type projects since probably middle school!
I also remember at the beginning of the ceremony looking out at all of our family and friends and feeling humbled and thankful that we had so many wonderful people in our lives there to wish us well. I think it's definitely important to take a few moments like that during the day to really take in how much all your hard work has paid off. And if there are surprises during the process (like finding out you need to get the fire marshal's approval of your candle centerpieces a couple of days before the wedding or having to deal with a strong breeze blowing your veil into your face during the whole ceremony), don't stress too much, just go with it!
