The rolling vineyards at Cielo Farms were the picturesque backdrop for David and Sydney’s wedding in Malibu, California. Their rustic-chic decor had a Tuscan feel and featured wild floral arrangements, and greenery with hints of blush, smokey blue, and grey. Raw wood table numbers and vintage blue glassware topped off the gorgeous table decor for their chic outdoor reception.
These two tied the knot in style. Just wait till you see it all below! Also, be sure to check out the full gallery for more must-see moments captured by Alyssa Armstrong Photography.
From the bride: David and I met in college, at the University of California, Santa Cruz. We began as friends and dated for two and a half years. After college, we went our separate ways for awhile - him for grad school, me to start my career, and us to grow up. We kept in touch through the years and loved each other very much. After about 10 years, the timing was finally right and we made our way back to each other, what we had both wanted all along.
California holds a special place in our hearts - it's where we met, where we consider home to be (we are currently living in Houston, Texas), and where many of our friends and family are. We also really wanted an outdoor wedding. Cielo Farms in Malibu was everything we wanted and more. Located in the Malibu Hills, it had gorgeous views of the Santa Monica mountains, vineyards, and perfect weather. It was both rustic and romantic and so it was a natural theme for the wedding. Lots of wild floral arrangements and greenery, neutrals, and hints of blush, smokey blue, and grey.
Planning a wedding in another state can be challenging. Luckily our vendors and planner were great and worked with us to help us have our dream wedding. They really listened to our ideas and helped make them a reality within our budget. Our wedding was an absolute blast and also incredibly beautiful. Seeing all the details come together far exceeded our expectations. The day was full of love and joy and It was amazing to look around and see all of our family and friends together. We had quite the dance party and no matter your faith, I highly recommend the Hora (chair dance) - it was the time of our life and an incredible view!
