The Dorado Beach Ritz Carlton Reserve was the perfect setting for this affair. It's an elevated, secluded haven located in Dorado, Puerto Rico, that served the lux-wellness experience that Noelani and Jorge wanted their guests to have during their stay. The property was designed and built with a conservationist approach in mind that resonated immensely with the couple, particularly because it was seamlessly constructed around its natural surroundings. A grandiose Banyan Tree at the Reserve practically sold the couple as to where the wedding was finally going to be held.  The bride opted for a naturally accentuated makeup and soft long waves, which Beauty By Raul Collazo executed flawlessly. She wore a Pronovias Constellation gown from D'Royal Bride adorned with clusters of white starry dots and pearls, and a cathedral tulle veil.  The couple had one of their dearest friends officiate the ceremony and opened the floor to any one of their loved ones that wanted to share words and bless the couple. By the end, everyone had practically married them! It was such a personal and thoughtful ode to the couple's union.

After the ceremony under the Banyan tree, the guests relocated to a semi-outdoor cocktail hour around an infinity reflection pool. Live musicians surprised the guests when it was time to relocate to the main dining hall. To set a playful tone for the day, the couple conducted a New Orleans-influenced wedding parade accompanied by a trombonist, flutist, and a tambourinist trio from Sak Entertainment. Handcrafted colorful ribbon streamers were passed around along with small tambourines for guests to wave around and play along to the song, "When the Saints Go Marching In."

Jat Lozano showcased a luxurious yet effortless reception design that evoked timelessness and contemporary etherealism. The baby's breath clouds and crystal chandelier ceiling installations, along with a star light arched backdrop, gave the space an out-of-this-world feeling, like walking into a celestial place. The tablescape design was simply magical with lit taper candles, soft hues, long-stem florals, and overflowing layered textiles.

As a musician himself, music was one of the groom's top priorities. This included: acoustic live songs for the ceremony prelude by singer, songwriter, and producer, Rick Moon; Caribbean funk music was played live by DJ Rick Moon during the cocktail hour; live musicians for a New Orleans-influenced wedding parade; and finally, DJ Ment had everyone dancing the entire night.  Towards the end of the dance party, the bride changed into a feathered mini dress from Cult Gaia and the couple surprised their guests with a Roaring 20's themed "Hora Loca'', which is a Puerto Rican wedding custom to expand the party and get the guests dancing to upbeat music while wearing costume props. Feather headbands and boas, faux pearl necklaces, and sticky mustaches were handed out to go along with the Roaring 20's theme. The couple then sealed the night with a champagne tower pour.

Advice from the planner

1. Be flexible. These times may call for unexpected wedding changes. Stay open to considering other options that your wedding professionals may present to you when necessary, and leave a little room for the unexpected charm change can bring with it.

2. Be very intentional with your guest list, as this will impact the wedding budget the most.

3. Don't start planning without sitting down with your partner to make a list of the top wedding priorities for you both. Go back to this list whenever you feel torn between making any decision along the way.
