Stationary was created by the incredible Jenna Wiegand from The Polkadot Paper Shop, a WedLuxe preferred vendor. She created a refined suite that combined see-through floral envelopes, handprinted Protea flowers (a reference to the local flower and symbol of South Africa), and an embossed engraving of the venue of Shepstone Gardens. The whole creation balanced bright and warm floral colors in an elegant and modern style.
This editorial shoot was impeccably captured by the brilliant and multiple award-winning photographer Alexander Smith (Directory of the International Wedding Photographer (IWP) of the Year) and supported by the cinematic work of talented Agnieska of Echo Photography & Films.
Luxury bridal designer Millanova and their local partner Vonve Bridal boutique, the #1 luxury bridal brand in South Africa, provided the elegant stylings for this inspo shoot. For the ceremony dress, the bride wore the Haleema customed with fitted detachable embroidered sleeves and feathers added to the corset for a unique, modern touch. A Swarovski overlap round cut ring complemented the dress and strayed away from over-accessorizing the look, as the Haleema gown itself was abundant in embroidery and sequins. As final touch, the bride wore a dramatic handmade silk tule cathedral veil created by Vonve Bridal.
Shepstone Gardens, situated in the luxurious neighborhood of Sandton in Johannesburg, was the dreamy venue for this beautifully styled shoot, where glass ceilings, an outdoor chapel, and an immense ballroom welcomed guests into a regal garden environment. Nestled within a vast park of abundant flowers and vegetation, the venue blends English and Italian garden designs for a timeless appeal.
The massive glass marquee made for the most stunning setting for both the ceremony and the banquet. The space, which can seat up to 200 people, caught the natural lighting in an unmatched manner. Striking and elegant, the marbled floors, stone pillars, and over 27 vintage Swarovski crystal chandeliers not only added a sense of opulence and timelessness to the wedding event, but also created an absolutely dreamy backdrop.
French destination wedding planner, Enamored&Motion, and South African floral designer, Love Beloved Studio, worked hand-in-hand to create an ethereal and bespoke canvas. 1500 floral stems were used in a combination of Uhuru Ohara Roses, red and orange Dendrobiums, yellow Onchidiums, and purple and orange Ranunculus. Velvet forest green napkins, golden silverware, see-through plates, and crystal glassware sets helped to integrate playful color tones alongside textured candles for an ethereal refinement and opulence. Glass cloches encapsulated florals as a delicate reference to romantic fairytale decor.
For the reception dress, the bride wore a classic, flawless Etia-ivory silk gown with floral straps for an elegant and deconstructed look that complimented the vegetation and floral components of the venue. To balance the elegance with an edgier, sultry vibe, our bride wore beautiful Swarovski crystal hoops with a gorgeous low bun and a sultry plum lipstick.
The cake was designed by the talented Dirty Peach Cake who created a beautiful three-tier rose water and apricot jam cake with hand-painted vegetation and handmade sugar flowers.
