"A fresh take on spring" was the inspiration behind this Minneapolis Club editorial featuring deep purples and burgundies paired with softer shades of pinks and whites by Village Floral Designs. The Minneapolis Club venue features classic architecture that adds so much natural character regardless of season. Oftentimes, however, brides feel bound to traditional seasonal colors for their palette, so this inspiration captured by Alexandra Robyn Photo + Design attempts to redefine what is considered "spring."
For the editorial, Village Floral Designs chose to create an ombre effect through the ceremony design, which was repurposed to create a stunning cake display during cocktail hour for guests to admire.
The moodiness of the ceremony space’s wallpaper created a cozy feel, while the brightness of the florals created a unique backdrop.

To create variety throughout the tablescape, Weddings by Katie + Co. added clear, textured glassware set against plain white plates with a delicate blue rim and seal. The chargers were white porcelain with a wavy outline to create visual interest while not taking away from the ombre floral design.
Korianne Art was there to paint the couple's special day so that they had a custom memory to take home and frame.
The cake was designed by Hey There Cupcake with an eye for texture and movement that became a focal point of the reception space. An emerging trend for 2024 is personalized cakes for the guests, so of course each guest had an adorable petite cake to enjoy!
