You'll have to keep reading to see how the cake design was inspired by this beautiful lehenga; the concept for this inspiration was to include some facets of traditional Indian weddings but in a more muted and modern style. Denis changed into a classic, well-fitted tuxedo from Top Tier Tux.
Twin Willows Garden was an idyllic setting for a luxurious garden party reception, surrounded by a luscious PNW forest and stunning local plant life. The reception table by Events By Genevieve was framed under a blooming magnolia tree, adding a whimsical nature to the refined style. The tablescape was designed to inspire multicultural couples who desire a neutral wedding palette with accents of Indian culture!
Events By Genevieve also created the gorgeous floral arrangements for this day, featuring garden roses for their upscale aesthetic - with pops of ranunculus, variegated pittosporum, and jasmine vine. The chic garden party decor was sourced from CORT Party Rental and Seattle Noble Rentals.
Romantic, pale blue linens from BBJ La Tavola were chosen to honor the importance of cloth choice in Indian wedding outfits. The shine and pattern of the linens was reflective of the cultural attire, while plates and glassware were highly textured to call back to the floral motifs from the bride's lehenga and the garden setting. This is a perfect example of how to blend two cultures into a seamlessly chic design!
In continuing the fabulously subtle touches of Indian culture, a show-stopping three tiered cake was created by Alewa Bake Shop. The cake featured the classic cultural flavor of chai, adorned with a rich fondant bow. A pattern inspired by the luxe fabric of the bride's lehenga was delicately hand painted on the bow!
We are in love with KP Couture's intricate floral and embroidered details on this lehenga. Gorgeous florals by Events By Genevieve enveloped the modern cake stand to bring the garden party aesthetic full circle.
