Tucked among the vineyards in the scenic Carmel Valley, with the help of Pocketful of Plans, Marisa and Mike designed their wedding with the intention of celebrating the region’s natural beauty. The couple spent their time during the pandemic planning the perfect destination wedding, dreaming of when they could treat their family and friends to a long weekend away in California. Their nuptials were well worth the wait, overflowing with the venue's natural foliage that blended seamlessly with Paeonina's vibrant floral design.

Gown designer, Justin Alexander, provided an atmosphere of understated elegance to the day through the bride's radiant fashion! Her effortless ball gown (from Flares Bridal) moved with dreamy layers of tulle, while her timeless hair and beauty was styled by Painted Ladies.
Marisa's gorgeous bridal style was accompanied with her dreamy, luscious peach-tone bouquet designed by Paeonina.
Groom, Mike, wore a cool custom blue suit from Beckett & Robb paired with attention-grabbing red sneakers and tie.
The ceremony was held in the venue's dreamy garden, where manicured hedges made way for tree-covered hillsides under the California sunshine. Blooming vines of the Bernardus Lodge property complimented the floral arrangements set alongside the aisle, as well as the pillars at the altar, in a mix of pastels.

Luxurious Carmel Valley Vineyard Mini Wedding
Marisa and Mike first met and began dating on the East Coast. Right before making a big move together to San Francisco. They were engaged while enjoying a run together!
After the ceremony, guests were welcomed to a chic cocktail hour on the grounds where a muted blush palette was seen from vintage lounge chairs provided by Chic Rentals to the prettiest pink cocktails. We love custom cocktails named for your furry friends!
Guests were guided to their seats after cocktail hour with this vintage mirror seating chart - with the most delicate gold seals (that matched their dinner menus).
Golden hour was spent in the vineyard as Marisa and Mike took a stroll along the property for moments of quiet, taking in the captivating colors and scents of June’s full bloom. Ashley Carlascio captured romantic, tender moments as the sun set over the property.
Pocketful of Plans translated the understated elegance of the day through a stunning garden reception! The dinner party remained outdoors with tables named after the couple’s favorite romantic comedies. Peonies, ranunculus, and zinnias arranged by Paeonina covered every warm and inviting shade from cream to orange, while tables were set with neutral taupe and blush-toned decor.
The pale pink linens for the tablescape were provided by BBJ La Tavola, while stationery was designed by Heart Paper Soul.
As evening's festivities set in and everyone moved to the indoor dance floor, bride Marisa changed into a very 60s-feeling mini dress with a mock neck, long sleeves, and feathered cuffs. This was such a cute and chic way to enjoy the rest of the night in style, while dancing to tunes by Heart of Gold DJs!
