Alexi and Andrew's stunning lakeside wedding in the heart of the Catskills was a masterclass in elevated garden party design. Since a mutual love of the outdoors brought them together, it was important for the couple to translate that passion into their wedding decor. Event designer Kelli Teglas Events brought the beauty of the outdoors into the couple's tented reception through a lovely pastel palette that wonderfully complemented blooms by Mira Mira.

What better way to introduce the wedding theme to Alexi and Andrew's guests than with a watercolor painting of their venue? The couple chose these modern circular invitations from Stacey Himmel Stationery who designed the custom, animal-adorned wedding crest that was carried over to their wedding favors.
Alexi and her bridesmaids got ready in style - wearing floral and white ruffled dresses paired with fuzzy slippers! This cute look was perfect for the light and airy vibe of the day, while Rebeckah & Co. styled flouncy hair and KMR Makeup Hudson Valley Bridal provided natural glam.
Bride Alexi wore a romantic Galia Lahav gown with floral applique that climbed up the bodice with a dramatic overskirt. We love how prevalent floral motifs were to the design of the wedding aesthetic from attire to decor!
Groom Andrew wore an Ermenegildo Zegna suit that gave a timeless, dapper effect paired with red bottom loafers.
Garden party weddings mean all the floral decor - from attire to centerpieces! Choosing bridesmaid dresses to match your floral design is a fun way to carry your theme while making a fashion statement. Alexi's bridal party wore mix and match pastel dresses with a hint of flower motif, in a palette that perfectly complemented their bouquets and the reception wildflowers, designed by Mira Mira.
Guests convened for a lakeside ceremony in the heart of the Catskills in a minimalistic affair that highlighted the natural views. Low to the ground pastel floral arrangements by Mira Mira created a sweet and bubbly atmosphere for the couple's heartfelt "I do's".
Alexi and Andrew met while in grad school in New York City. During their first meeting, they bonded over their shared interests like skiing, dogs, and travel – and from there, it was history. While on a hiking trip in Vermont, Andrew knelt beside their dog and said he found something stuck on him. When Alexi rushed over to look, she found a ring tied to the handkerchief around his neck. She ecstatically accepted the proposal, and the three hiked back in the sunset. (You'll have to keep reading to see how they incorporated their dog into their cocktail hour!!)

The gorgeous lawn of the venue provided space for guests to enjoy an outdoor cocktail hour, sipping on the signature drinks: a Summer Old Fashioned (His) or a Cucumber Jalapeno Margarita (Hers). We especially loved the couple's touch of custom cocktail napkins with a sweet message and image of their pup, Jackson!
Tented receptions are a great alternative to a fully outdoor party - as they cut the summer heat and provide a cool, shaded area for guests! Kelli Teglas Events transformed the blank template of the white tent structure into a garden party colored in pastel hues, accented with floral design by Mira Mira. Reception tables popped in baby pinks and blues, while the watercolor crest guest favors created by Stacey Himmel Stationery tied the tablescape together.
"Following the ceremony, guests moved into the reception tent, greeted by rustic wooden furniture and garlands of lush greenery dotted with blush and periwinkle flowers. A delectable dessert display included lemon blueberry cheesecake bites and the fresh, local donuts the region is known for — perfect fuel for a night of dancing and revelry."
Wedding guests enjoyed a scrumptious dinner from Main Course Catering, followed by dessert and dancing to Dexter Lake Club Band.
