Tucked into the New England hillside, Alyssa and TJ’s wedding delighted guests with its Vermont charm and lighter-than-air spirit. The day was hosted at The Wilburton, a turn-of-the-century brick mansion nestled atop a beautiful hill surrounded by maple trees. Stone walkways made way for lush greenery on the property, where the couple strolled together for quiet moments together amidst gently blooming August flowers.
Keep reading to see how pops of "something blue" were present throughout the day, from the voluptuous floral design to the evening's boho reception decor. All captured beautifully in photo by Esra Y Photography and on film by Envision Pictures.
We loved how the elegant watercolor timeline perfectly depicted the rolling, hazy hills of the Vermont countryside - seen below in these playful bridal party pics!
The bride Alyssa and her bridesmaids looked chic getting ready in cute matching pajamas! While their jammies were cut in adorable short styles - the color actually matched their dresses for the big day as well.
Bride Alyssa wore a tulle A-line gown by Lillian West, which included a plunging neckline, low back, and romantic floral applique. Her gorgeously light and airy look was paired with hair by Michelle Anne Hair Design and makeup by Deven Paige Makeup.
Groom, TJ, wore an off-white suit and silk knit tie from Suit Supply; together, the couple complemented each other with a soft and romantic feel.
Alyssa & TJ's bridal party was their "something blue" in a Pinterest-worthy combination of bouquet and groomsmen suit accents! The luscious bouquets were created by Nancy Bishop Floral Design, who carried the pops of blue color throughout the entire day!
For their gorgeous and scenic outdoor wedding, the groom was walked down the aisle by a very special guest of honor...the couple's dog! Two crescent arches were set for the altar, made from a delicate array of ivory florals. The ceremony was held on the grassy hillside, with a dreamy backdrop of mountain haze and trees in the distance.
Alyssa and TJ first met at a “fire and ice” themed fraternity party. That evening TJ, dressed as a snowman, told Alyssa he was going to marry her. Alyssa, dressed as a campfire, agreed. The two made a pinky promise that night that would later become even more significant between them. TJ proposed at the top of Lockes Hill on Lake Winnipesaukee. Alyssa knew TJ was up to something when he asked if she wanted to wear her dinner outfit and makeup before setting out for their hike. Despite their nerves and a modest amount of fumbling with the ring box, the couple was engaged with a beautiful view of the lake in the distance. Fourteen years later, Alyssa and TJ were married and made sure to pinky promise one more time at the altar.
The couple celebrated with a post-ceremony champagne tower as guests remained in their seats to cheer on the newlyweds.

Guests were welcomed with modern "Vermont lovers" welcome bags, set beside cute photos of the newlyweds and a watercolor map of The Wilburton property. The bags included individual bags of cookies by Cole’s Cookie Co. This is such a sweet alternative to wedding favors!
For the reception, the arches from the ceremony were moved to create a statement backdrop at the couple’s sweetheart table to create a beautiful garden party effect. Guests dined and danced in the outdoor tent, elegantly draped in ivory fabrics from floor to ceiling, as chandeliers strung with greenery glistened from above.
Luscious and overflowing florals by Nancy Bishop Floral Design filled the reception tent, from floor to ceiling. Muted florals included accents of blush pinks and muted blues. Arrangements were a celebration of wildflowers with fluffy ferns, thistles, and wild roses.
The dusty "something blue" accent color was also incorporated into other moments of the reception decor, such as linens and blue glassware.
Blackbird Cake Design created this modern, textured wedding cake adorned with romantic roses and green florals. It was a sweet way to end the night, followed by dancing to music by Toby Aronson and Peak Entertainment.
