Mike and Annabelle's wedding was fun and filled with quirky charm; guests in dapper attire and a gnome scavenger hunt. How fun is that? Definitely nothing too traditional with surprises around ever corner that were all thoughtfully planned. You can see the entire wedding in the full gallery here, all captured by Portland wedding photographers, The Gemmers.
The gorgeous venue in Mount Vernon, WA was perfect for their wedding and they knew it from the beginning. The super tall hedges, the beautifully spacious grounds were just the right fit.
Everything was so very personalized! The officiant was Annabelle's good friend, Yamile. The "ring bearer" was their pup Yanna. They had photos of relatives and family clipped to the tall hedges as guests entered the gardens. Each table at the reception were named after pets that the two have had collectively, along with little stories about them!
Their venue was like stepping through the looking glass (literally)...it felt like wonderland! amazingly manicured lawns & hedges & full of charm!! they featured local (Seattle, WA) handmade delights for their favors, desserts, vendors, etc. they had a coffee bar at their reception too, showing off their northwest coffee to friends and family from afar! They had a mini teaching salsa lesson during their reception!
They tied in many aspects of Annabelle's Cuban culture: the salsa dancing, the Cuban coffee served by Espresso Elegance (which was amazing!), the Cuban OR Seattle coffee to choose from at the Farmer's Market, the signature beverages with cane sugar, etc!
Pretty much every single detail was made by the bride, groom (with a little help from the planner). Annabelle and Mike designed and made their invitations (although Mike will not want to admit!), programs, all the banners, tags, etc etc. Annabelle's handwriting is amazing, so she wrote all of the chalkboards and signs, as well as all of the place cards and tags. They cut out chalkboard stickers to use with the milk bottles for beverages. They painted canvas totes for the guests to use at the Farmer's Market. Much much more and many details to share.

The fun vintage rentals from Vintage Ambiance fit their vision perfectly. The dessert table made by Honey Crumb Cake Studio was picture perfect; mini pies (Annabelle loves anything mini!), cake pops looking like mini trees, cupcakes with wood grain, a mini cake for "spooning", and much more!
