Erika and Adam's funky seaside wedding in Seattle was filled to the brim with fun ways to celebrate who they are. As native Seattleites they share a love of two things: the ocean, and the Seattle Seahawks. Combined with Erika's affinity for pastels their wedding was given a soft and serene beach theme with some subtle (and not so subtle) hints towards their fave football team. How would you express your favorite things at your dream wedding?

From Simply by Tamara Nicole:Erika and Adam had their wedding at Hotel Bellwether, a quaint hotel with a lighthouse in the adorable town on Bellingham, which is right on the water and has gorgeous views overlooking Bellingham Bay. The weather was perfect, sunny but not too hot, just how us Seattleites like it. Erika and Adam are HUGE Seattle Seahawks fans: she had a Seahawks garter. He wore Seahawks colors (even his socks!). There was a game the morning after the wedding, that they invited everyone over for brunch to watch the game with them!
Along with Seahawks throughout the wedding, there was also a lot of family involved. Erica's pastor from when she was younger was their Officiant. She wore her grandma's old pearl necklace as a bracelet. Adam's family and extended family handmade all of the favors, which were delicious butter mints. They had a rose ceremony where both mothers carried up roses to the altar, and from those they each grabbed one and put it in the center vase. A melding of two families.
At each table were photos of both Erika and Adam, at that age. I designed a flip program, which included fun trivia for the guests while they waited for it to start, then the answers were posted on the cocktail tables during cocktail hour. The overall decor inspiration was tied into Erika's love of soft and pretty colors (blush, coral, green, mint) with the venue on the beach. We used some seashells and sand and added all of the pretty florals by A New Leaf Flower Shoppe to accomplish this mixture. We threw in some fun soft fonts, braids and blush dresses for the bridesmaids, and you have a romantic beach wedding.
From the Bride:One thing I would have done differently was hire a videographer. I played with the idea many times in the planning process and decided against it due to cost. After the wedding I wish that I would have spent the money on it.
