From the Bride: There was no questions at all about where to tie the knot. Big Bear has forever been my happy place and even more so, when I met Christopher there who was born and raised there. We met and it was over, we already knew that we were supposed to meet that night, time, and place. With us it was almost as we already knew each other. Meeting each other that night tied in perfectly to what is now our favorite quote: “Eventually soulmates meet, for they have the same hiding place”
We started our ceremony at 11:11am, Saturday January 28th 2017. It was absolutely perfect, the weather was clear and crisp with still a lot of snow from the storms prior. We wanted our elopement to be intimate and memorable just like the first moment our eyes met. We found a spot on Big Bear Lake close to our tree we craved when we first met, it reads C+C=❤ (totally cheeseballs we know haha). Once we found our spot everything else came into place.
Within 2 weeks he found his suit from Armani and I found my perfect dress... and you would never guess where! I purchased my dress from the app LetGo. I had 2 weeks and had no idea how to find a perfect dress for our elopement without spending over $1000. I gave LetGo a shot and I found a woman selling her beautiful vintage dress she purchased from a vintage boutique in Hollywood, CA. It was still new with the tags on and a one of a kind dress. I couldn't pass it up. She originally bought it for her elopement but got pregnant with her beautiful daughter shortly after...so needless to say I got very lucky finding the perfect dress for a snowy elopement.
The fun part was creating and designing the look and feel for our elopement, I made my bouquet, his boutineer, and our signs. My husband was so incredible and so involved. I'm very indecisive so I would always ask him questions, this one or this one and he would always give me an answer which just made everything so easy and fun.
I knew right when we decided to elope I was going to ask Kristen Booth to be our photographer. I have know her work and admired her talent for so long. Once she was on board I knew everything would be just how I dreamt it to be...and it was, it really was a dream. This was the best day of our lives and we were so blessed to have Kristen there to capture it all.
