This lovely garden fête at a manor house in Michigan is proof that you don't need to travel internationally to have a "destination wedding". The trick is finding the right venue, which can take some searching or the help of a well-connected planner like Something True Planning. Greencrest Manor with its crawling vine-clad walls, lush green garden, and subtle details like macarons from Laudurée transported this couple and their guests to the French countryside. A DIY-Lover’s Dream Wedding at Deepwood Museum & Gardens
A lover of all things sparkly, Brooke’s proposal and wedding day fulfilled her love of jewelry, glitter, and all things girly. On a trip Brooke had planned with her mother in NYC, Nate surprised them both with a proposal at the Tiffany & Co. on 5th Avenue. He sneakily flew in with a few of Brooke’s closest friends and family.
Guests were greeted with this artisan burlap tote filled with local goodies like lavender soda, the couple's favorite candies, a bottle opener, and of course, an agenda with all of the weekend's festivities.
Greencrest Manor reflected everything Brooke and Nate had envisioned for their wedding day. Guests were transported into a space that felt European, like sneaking away to a French chateau for the weekend.
Brook wore an off-the-shoulder ballgown, which she paired with a string of pearls and a pearl-encrusted veil.
Nate wore a beautifully tailored classic black tuxedo and a black-on-black brocade bowtie with a subtle floral pattern. To keep with the timeless design of the wedding, the bridesmaids and groomsmen also wore black.
The day was set amidst the beautifully manicured outdoor gardens, climbing vines, sun parasols for the guests, and the cutest mini cakes topped with fresh rosebuds from the Greencrest garden. The couple was married in a sentimental outdoor ceremony to the soundtrack of soft, bubbling fountains.
Following the ceremony, guests moved to the reception tent for a dinner surrounded by blush florals by Modern Day Collective, greenery, and gold accents. The evening glimmered as the bride wore a glitter-covered floor-length gown, and the couple kissed between dramatic ten-foot cold sparkle fountains.
During dessert, in addition to the delectable little cakes at each place setting, guests were treated to specialty coffee drinks with custom latte art designed just for the wedding. Each guest also received a little box of macarons as a wedding favor.
The happy couple left the estate in a chic white convertible with a "Just Married" sign on the bumper, complete with wedding bells.
