Special Venue

The whole reason we got married in California was because of the Figueroa Mountain Farmhouse. We always knew we wanted to do a destination wedding and really our only request was that we wanted it to be near mountains. When I first saw the Farmhouse years ago, I instantly fell in love! So, 2 years later when we got engaged in Ireland at the Cliffs of Moher, it was the first place I reached out to, and it was totally worth it!

I loved the uniqueness of the venue, and it was placed on the most beautiful secluded property at the foot of rolling California mountains. I wanted to take FULL advantage of our stunning setting and the incredible spring California weather so we opted to do everything outdoors. Because the Farmhouse is a vacation rental, we were able to spend the whole weekend onsite. Our bridal party and their significant others stayed with us on the property, and we made a whole weekend celebration out of the occasion!

Special Moments

One of our favorite moments from the wedding day was having Bob, Trevor’s dad, officiate the wedding. Having someone that personal and close to us unifying us in marriage was just irreplaceable. I couldn't have dreamt of a more thoughtful and heartfelt ceremony, which is really all we ever wanted; our family and friends to feel our love for one another on that day.

Another one of my favorite and most memorable moments was Trev and I's first dance. I had dreamt of that moment, and listened to our song, repeatedly for YEARS before it actually took place. Our song, Northern Wind, by the band City & Colour, had special meaning for us. So, when the time came to have our first dance to OUR song that we had picked out long before we were even engaged it was MAGICAL.

We were literally surrounded by everyone who loved us, under the full moon and twinkling string lights, with our song playing, and finally getting the moment of just he and I to really take in what that day meant, and that it was ACTUALLY happening. ABSOLUTE DREAM COME TRUE!

Special Song

To incorporate my family heritage, since my dad was born and raised in northern Italy, we chose to dance to an Italian song for his and my father-daughter dance. I came across a version of Ed Sheeran's "Perfect" that was a duet with Andrea Bocelli, and INSTANTLY I knew that was it! Mid-way through our dance, I could tell he thought the song might be ending soon, but I hugged on to him even tighter and whispered "the good part is coming" just Andrea Bocelli starts singing. I instantly heard everyone say "Awww" and then heard my dad start to cry.

We also included some Italian details for our “sweetheart" chairs with them saying "Sposa and Sposo”. After the wedding, we whisked away on our honeymoon to England and Scotland. Being able to explore Ireland when we got engaged is what let us back there so we could experience the rest of the area and the culture!
