A Wedding Planners Dream Wedding
From the Bride: This is a real wedding story of a destination wedding planner finally getting married! Jacky and I wanted a destination that we could relate to and that had meaning to us. Koh Samui was our first trip together as a couple and also where we got engaged. It is also the destination where I specialize in wedding planning service. This little island gem has a very special meaning to both of us. Ceremony was elegant and laid back with a canopy set against the turquoise ocean and decorated with lush greens and ivory white roses and lots of floral petals on the lawn. We loved the gold tiffany chairs that accompanied the set up.
The perfect location
Our idea of a perfect wedding is to have an intimate celebration with a tropical backdrop and the ocean view, palm trees and blue sky and we love the idea of an outdoor alfresco wedding on a lush green lawn at a private villa. We loved the infinity pool where we had a poolside after party. The Villa was perfect for us to spend a few days with our close family after the wedding as a mini vacation together. Samujana Villas checked all the boxes that we were looking for on our perfect tropical wedding. Perched on a secluded hillside overlooking a coral cove Samujana Villas also provided private beach access.
Tented outdoor wedding reception
For our own peace of mind with unpredictable weather, we hired a beautiful transparent tent. The tables looks absolutely stunning under the tent with long tables decorated with long garlands of lush greenery and white flowers and lots of candles for that romantic and intimate ambience. In addition to the table set up, my cousins helped us made the wedding favors of homemade lemongrass & lavender body scrub that also represents the essence of Thailand. The table names were calligraphy of some favorite destinations Jacky and I have traveled to.
POOL PARTY AFTER PARTY
We continued the celebration with a poolside after party back at the villa with a great DJ and awesome music! Thinking back, we wouldn't have changed anything from the wedding. Everything was just perfect because the person we were marrying was the most important thing.
The infinity pool was filled with lots of white giant balloons and 2 giant flamingoes as Chinese culture has a saying that great love & happiness come in pairs. The giant balloons looked amazing as they seemed to be floating above the water!
