The morning of this wedding started with a sapphire ring; Joshua’s late grandmothers ring, which he had asked his Mother to give to Samantha with the following note - “Something to borrow and something blue, but after today I’m giving it to you!”. If that doesn’t set the tone for the dreamy, detailed wedding that is to follow, we don’t know what will!
Perfectly photographed and filmed by the extraordinary, out of this world team at Phosart Photography Cinematography - this wedding is an example of how there isn't a force on this earth that can stop two people in love.
Underneath an alter adorned with white orchids, courtesy of the artists at Paper Flowers Cyprus, at the crème de la crème of worldwide wedding venues - Le Ciel, Samantha and Joshua read their personalised vows to one another, in front of their family and closest friends. It came as a surprise to everyone, including the soon to be newlyweds that the concluding line of their vows, were the exact same - “until the sun rises in the west and sets in the east”. Their favourite line from one of their favourite stories. A special seat at the front had been left empty for Joshua’s late grandfather, as they had promised him the best seat in the house to hear their vows - We think he would be chuffed with this and no, we’re not crying... you are!
Walking back up the aisle hand in hand this time as Husband and Wife, Samantha, a bridal vision, wearing the jaw-dropping Mercedes dress by the designer Enzoani, and Joshua looking dazzlingly handsome in a tuxedo he designed himself using a light bamboo fabric, tailored by Suit Supply. They were showered in pink and white fresh flower petals, tossed from the confetti cones made using the pages of Samantha’s favourite Harry Potter books – created by the very talented team at Wedding Wish.
The deeply romantic sounds of the cello and piano filled the celebratory atmosphere with love (and delight when Samantha heard her favourite Disney composition – tale as old as time). As the mystical, golden sun set on the best day of their lives, it was time to cut their Swan inspired, 4 tier wedding cake, beautifully crafted by Alexandras Cakes, as it swung in the light evening breeze.
As the fountain fireworks started to sparkle, Samantha and Joshua started the party with their first dance! Moments later as the starlit sky shone down on them, the sounds of Greece flooded the venue and then plates… smashed plates everywhere. They laughed and danced the night away without a care in the world as the new Mr and Mrs Scott.
Having planned and executed a wedding during a Global Pandemic, this gorgeous couple have the following advise to share to future couples, who may find themselves in a similar/challenging situation when planning!
1. It is okay to be upset and frustrated, but always keep in mind that love always wins in the end
2. It doesn’t matter what anyone else is doing or what anyone else thinks you should do; do what you think is best for you and your life partner
3. Where there is a problem darling, there is always a solution... hiring a planner will help you find that solution quicker though!
