This team of Florida vendors set out to prove that you don't need to spend a ton of money to have a luxe-inspired elopement. It requires a few key investments like the right venue, fashion-forward attire, and a great photographer, and from there, it's all about living in the moment and leaning on a cohesive theme. Inspired by Tuscan romance, the Roots to Stems team brought this citrus-filled daydream to life. Our theme was "Barefoot In Tuscany" where we wanted to feature an effortless high-end atmosphere that felt luxurious but also free and easy. This design was unique because it didn’t feature many florals or design details. Rather this shoot focused solely on the couple, their connection, and their love. This type of shoot is sometimes even harder to execute due to the fact that nothing can be camouflaged by pretty flowers or extravagant tabletop details. Really this type of shoot puts more pressure on the couple as well as the vendor team to create a relaxing atmosphere for the couple to feel comfortable enough to really lean into the shoot concept.

We chose the beautiful Bella Cosa Wedding and Event Venue located in Lake Wales Florida in order to play off of the beautiful “stone-like” plaster walls and intricate columns that reminded us of old-world Italian architecture. We were able to create a relaxing atmosphere by playing Italian Countryside music that seemed to really relax our couple and brought us to a place of unpretentious glamor that featured our model even taking her shoes off to truly be “barefoot in Tuscany!” We loved this moment where the groom helped our bride unbuckle her heels, and heighten her reverie state. The bride wore a minimalist strapless mermaid gown with off-the-shoulder pearl-embellished tulle sleeves. For her second look, she slipped into an elegant backless halter with a thigh-high slit that echoed the laid-back vibe of the wedding design. We love that they styled the groom in a tuxedo, bow tie and all because it added a level of luxe to the otherwise pared-down affair.

Our team really wanted to incorporate lemons into the design. We felt that the touch of citrus really helped bring a unique color to the mostly neutral pallet as well as tie together our shoot. The Amalfi Coast and Sorrento area produce several different kinds of lemons and we felt strongly that we wanted to feature them–we snuck them into almost every scene!
