This couple hacked the formula for the perfect elopement

Choosing to elope was a decision that came easily to both of us. We never envisioned having a traditional wedding. While we would have loved to celebrate with all our loved ones in a grand way, we knew it wasn't the right choice for us. We wanted this day to be solely about us, focusing on each other completely. When we looked into each other's eyes on our elopement day, we knew we had made the right decision. The effort we put into our elopement and honeymoon was exclusively for us, and that was incredibly important to us. Our families and friends were incredibly supportive of us. We've been fortunate to celebrate with our loved ones in various ways, and their understanding and happiness have made this journey even more special!

Nestled in the heart of the Italian Lake District, Lake Como is renowned for its breathtaking beauty and timeless allure. It was the perfect backdrop for an intimate celebration of love. We chose the Grand Hotel Tremezzo as the location for our elopement because we were looking for a truly luxurious and special spot to celebrate this intimate moment. We wanted our elopement to be just as meaningful and memorable as a traditional wedding, and the Grand Hotel Tremezzo was the perfect choice for that. What made it even more special is that I work for a luxury travel company, and the hotel was in our portfolio, so we knew it was a unique place. Additionally, the fact that it's right next door to Villa Carlotta, where we had our intimate ceremony, made it even more perfect for us. The moment we walked in, it felt like we were transported into a scene from a Wes Anderson film.

My wedding dress is from House of CB. When it came to selecting a gown, I wanted something that was both special and in tune with the fact that we were eloping. I did go dress shopping once, but I didn't find anything that spoke to me. I actually stumbled upon my dress on social media of all places, and it was love at first sight. It was the perfect choice for me, for Italy, and for the romantic atmosphere of our elopement.

My engagement ring was a collaborative creation from a local custom jeweler, The Diamond Reserve. We were very intentional about this process and decided to design the ring together. It was a precious time for us, and I was genuinely surprised when we got engaged. Our wedding bands are from David Yurman. My engagement ring is white gold, and I opted for two delicate pave yellow gold bands to stack, creating a beautiful contrast. Ethan chose a three-row band in sterling silver with pave black diamonds. Our rings hold great significance for us and symbolize our love beautifully.

The couple, radiating joy and love, exchanged their vows on a secluded terrace overlooking the lake. With only the sound of gentle waves lapping against the shore as their soundtrack, their words of commitment carried across the water, touching the hearts of all who were present. It was an intimate affair, with the couple surrounded by the timeless beauty of Lake Como, and their love filled the air.

Following the ceremony, we enjoyed an intimate boat ride on a Riva boat around the stunning Lake Como. We then returned to the Grand Hotel Tremezzo and concluded the day with a delightful tasting menu at La Terrazza Gualtiero Marchesi.
