Since she was a little girl Elyse dreamed about her wedding day! Her dream was to have her wedding in an open field. She came across the perfect spot for her wedding that meet all of herPolo Fields at the Galway Downs was the perfect spot for her wedding. It was the debut wedding at this particular San Diego wedding venue. As you can see it was absolutely stunning from start to finish.
The Polo Fields offers the open field she wanted, stables, horses, views, amazing landscapes, and the opportunity to create the rustic elegant look that she wanted. It provided a blank canvas for Soiree Design & Events to create something truly magical. After being together for such a long time I naturally started planning what I wanted for my wedding before we were even engaged. I had always known what colors that I wanted for my wedding and would look at different pictures that I thought fit what I wanted. That changed over time naturally as I changed, but the one thing that I always stuck to is that I wanted both of our families there. Travis let me choose everything even though I tried to get him involved in as much of the process as possible. He always said that he wanted whatever I wanted; he only had a few requests regarding music. So I chose the theme of a vintage rustic wedding, a look that I had been loving and still loved. I remained with the same initial colors that I loved, gray and purple, but the tones had changed to match my theme.
Travis picked music that he wanted there and picked the song that we would dance our first dance as husband and wife, Pistol by Dustin Kensrue. Sheila and Jennifer put together a wedding that I dreamed of having and pulled together a group of people that made that day as special as it could be. Travis and I were ecstatic about how everything turned out. The venue, the decorations, the flowers, the tent, the DJ, the food; everything was more than I could have asked for. We were surrounded by family and friends that loved us and knew that nothing could have made that night any more special than it already was.
The cake display turned out so darling and was one of our favorites. The wedding cake was from Elegance on Display and the little cakes were from Frosting Fanatic. Displaying the cake types in picture frames of pearls or crystals just added an element of elegance in a vintage-y kind of way against the cakes and table. For an extra treat, the guests could go outside and roast their own marshmallows on our custom made s’mores bar. Even more, to top it all off a special surprise for the couple was the BC World Wide food truck from Catering by BC Cafe to offer sliders and fries for the guests for a late night snack!See the day in live-action in the beautiful video below, filmed by Ashley Nicole Video Productions.
