Bride and groom embrace on a rocky shore, her veil billowing

Angela and Victor are a sweet and loving New York City-based couple. While Angela is originally from southern California, Victor was raised in Westchester, New York.  In order to make their wedding special and intimate, they decided to say their marriage vows at the church Victor has gone to with his family throughout his  life.

On Friday, June 10th 2011, Angela and Victor got married at Victor's family's church - Corpus Christi Church in Port Chester, NY.  Immediately following the ceremony, the bride, groom, their families and guests enjoyed an evening of cocktails, dinner and dancing at the Glen Island Harbour Club in New Rochelle, New York.

Angela and Victor worked with Amanda Diamondstein-Cieplinska of Stellina Events to plan their wedding and ensure that their wedding day flowed perfectly.  Rich Lavigne from Rich Lavigne Photography did an amazing job at capturing the day's events and the beauty of the bride and groom on their special day.

The wedding emanated a natural elegance from the water surrounding the reception to the arrangements of birch branches on the tables aglow in candlelight with accents of white blooms and spring green buds.

The ceremony and reception both incorporated a number of traditions from Angela and Victor's backgrounds.  Angela's family is from the Philippines while Victor's family is from Italy. Angela and Victor designed and created favors representing their backgrounds to share a bit of themselves with all of their guests.  Each guest received either a jelly jar with pasta in it and a recipe for Victor's family favorite - Orrechiette with Broccoli Rabe & Sausage, a recipe from their hometown of Lazio, Italy or a burlap sac filled with rice and a recipe from Angela's family for Arroz Caldo, a traditional dish from the Philippines.

The bride and groom even crafted a wooden gift box with their initials places on the outside of the box as an extra unique touch.

From the Filipino customs of exchanging the coins and the placing of the string and cord around the bride and groom during the ceremony, to the traditional Italian tarantula danced by all guests during the reception, Angela and Victor's backgrounds were woven together like a fine silk seamlessly throughout the evening.
