We had the absolute pleasure of working with Neda and Reza for their stunning Persian wedding at the luxurious Fairmont Grand Del Mar. The reception, adorned in rich burgundy, purple, and white florals by Bloombox Designs, created the perfect backdrop for their unforgettable day.

mediterranean inspired wedding venue in san diego

Designed by Besharati Group, Neda and Reza’s wedding took place at the luxurious Fairmont Grand Del Mar in San Diego, an exquisite venue resembling a 1920s Hollywood and Old-World Mediterranean estate. Its classic European charm perfectly complemented the couple's elegant reception. The reception tablescapes were inspired by a moody, romantic lounge vibe, with a sophisticated mix of dark and light contrasts reminiscent of a classy late-night club. Dark plums and fruit were artfully incorporated into the tables, adding richness and depth to the design. Custom details, such as travertine rock table numbers and bar signs with acrylic accents, added a personalized touch, while custom lighting, lounge seating, and glowing candles set the perfect ambiance.

their love story

couples portrait ideas for wedding

Neda and Reza are a beautiful Iranian-American couple, blending their unique cultures and shared passions. Neda, an aesthetic nurse, and Reza, an orthopedic surgeon, first met in June, got engaged in March, and tied the knot in October—planning their dream wedding in less than a year without wasting any time. Their love for traveling, tennis, golf, and cooking—especially kabobs—reflects the vibrant life they share, along with their deep bond with family and friends. Their wedding was a heartfelt celebration, combining American vows and a traditional Sofreh Aghd ceremony, thoughtfully translated into Farsi to honor both heritages.

Gilded floral motifs and blush accents on this timeless invitation suite teased the color palette to come, but we love that they left the moody burgundy notes as a surprise for their guests.

With loved ones traveling from all over the world to witness their union, Neda dazzled in a breathtaking Galia Lahav "Eilish" gown—a fully hand-beaded A-line dress with detachable sleeves. Neda carried a bouquet of all-white peonies in a round, wrapped style that matched her breathtaking dress. Neda added a stylish twist to the evening by switching between three dresses, ensuring she could dance the night away with ease.

custom cocktails and a champagne tower

Neda and Reza’s wedding was filled with personal touches that reflected their style and personality. The couple delighted guests with their signature cocktails—his was a classic Old Fashioned, crafted with bourbon, bitters, sugar, and orange peel, while hers was an elegant French 75, featuring gin, sparkling wine, simple syrup, and lemon. A stunning 4-foot champagne tower set the stage for a glamorous toast, adding a touch of opulence to the celebration.
