From the bride: We stood beneath a canopy of trees bathed in a soft light. Dylan’s brother-in-law a real-estate attorney who rebuilt the World Trade Centers married us. Dylan and I both lost our fathers and the emotion, support, and love we have for each other was the centerpiece of both of our vows. You could literally hear people crying from their seats. It was a very short ceremony devoid of religion but amped up on emotion.
The reception was held outside on the water under a clear tent. The centerpieces were tailored to the different tables (rounds & long) with a single low arrangement on the grounds & scattered low arrangements on the songs. We kept it natural yet romantic to keep with the style of Vizcaya Museum and Gardens. Garden roses, ranunculus, and white peonies were our main flowers. The flowers were in beautiful stone and mercury glass vases.
We had twinkle lights lining the inside of the clear tent. When it got dark, it gave off a beautiful starry night feel. Beautiful flowers everywhere. Romantic flowers coming out of romantic pots made of different materials and all very neutral.. Color scheme was ivory, almond blush with addition of some greenery. Rustic wood round and long tables with wooden chairs.
