From the bride:
I wanted the focus to be on our love for each other and our faith. Michael and his dad made a large wooden cross, and our florist draped it with beautiful greenery and flowers. The backdrop to the cross exemplified God's creation. It was a beautiful field lined with trees and the sky above. We had all white chairs, and the front row was all white church pews. Our aisle runners were like the rest of the floral in our wedding: simple, elegant, and romantic. During the ceremony, two of our friends sang while we lit our unity candle. After we lit the unity candle, our parents joined us in a prayer circle to pray over our marriage. That was probably one of my favorite parts of the day.
I was obsessed with my flowers from Clarksville Florist. They were everything I asked for and more. Flowers were really the only decoration I cared about. I didn't want anything to distract from them. I wanted lots of greenery and only red and blush pink flowers. We used greenery table runners, floral arrangement in low vases, and floral arrangements with lanterns. The flowers were always the main focal point. My wedding day was truly the most wonderful day of my life so far. I wouldn't change any aspect of it. The best part was spending the day with our friends and family while celebrating our marriage. We could not be more thankful for everyone who was apart of it.
Our photographer, Erin Wilson, did an captured every aspect of our reception so perfectly. My guests were not shy on the dance floor! Some of my favorite memories and pictures are of us dancing with our friends and family. We had a sparkler send-off and left in Michael's grandfather's Chevy truck.
We wanted to keep the price of the wedding around $10,000. We probably spent closer to $12,000. Venue was $3,200
Catering was $2,000
Flowers were $2,500
Coordinator was around $500
Cakes were $500
Rentals were $700
Photographer was $1,400
DJ was $400
Dress and veil were $800
Then the extra decorations made up the rest.
