Lindsay and Fredrik enjoyed a colorful wedding day right in the backyard of Lindsay's parent's home in Upstate New York. Their big day was a fun and vibrant celebration of their marriage, as well as the merging of two families and beautiful cultures.
The hot pink and orange color tropical color palette really brought out the festive atmosphere. We imagine all their guests had a blast from start to finish. See more beautiful eclectic and colorful wedding ideas in the full gallery here photographed by Keira Lemonis Photography.

Many of his relatives and friends from around the world were able to make the long trip and join in on a once in a lifetime celebration filled with fun, laughter, and dancing well into the night. This non-traditional couple wanted to infuse their wedding with personality and personal touches that made the night feel uniquely "them."
A big part of this was to incorporate their families as much as possible, having the bride and groom's brothers as "Toast Masters" and hosts of the evening, a family friend to conduct the home-made ceremony, and calling upon Fredrik's grandfathers to lead the group through a classic Swedish drinking song at dinner.
The day began with a beautiful, outdoor ceremony, followed by a poolside cocktail hour and finally dinner and lots and lots of dancing under the wedding tent. Lindsay, a designer, was the creator of the overall cheerful, bright and tropical inspired wedding decor and stationery.
Each guest table was named after a destination that the couple had traveled to and decorated with wildflower arrangements, lots of pillar candles, and mismatched, vintage china.
