Duke Photography- Sylvia + Jonathan’s Malibu Wedding

Sylvia and Jonathan met in high school and continued dating throughout college, even though their studies split them across the country form one another. On their 9-year anniversary, while in Kauai, they were engaged and a year later, on their 10th anniversary, finally got married. They tied the knot at the breathtakingly beautiful Stone Manor Estate in Malibu overlooking Paradise Cove and the Pacific Ocean.
With only 85 people in attendance, Sylvia and Jonathan had a small yet intimate wedding, just like they wanted. A close friend who knew the couple before they even started dating wrote their ceremony vows and officiated the wedding. To celebrate a decade together, they put together what they called the "Decade of Love" project, compiling pictures from over the years to display during the cocktail hour. Another personal touch was their first dance, coordinated and choreographed by Sylvia herself, who has been dancing since age 3 and is classically trained in dance. The quaintness of their wedding really allowed them to chat and celebrate with all of their closest friends and family. They may have one decade down, but we wish them the best together in the several that are to come.
