Proof that a destination wedding can be less costly and more fun
Some love stories begin with a grand moment, but for this couple, it all started with a simple swipe. Melissa and Josh both swiped right on Bumble, went on their first date just a couple of days later, and from that moment on, they never stopped spending time together! While vacationing in Oahu with their daughter and parents, the groom-to-be overcame a number of perfectly imperfect scenarios (including birds pecking at his food!) to drop down on one knee, and she said, "Yes." After countless venue tours and research in California, the decision became clear after speaking to Megan at Paradise Weddings. Having a destination wedding in Mexico not only made it more cost-effective but also turned their celebration into a vacation with their closest friends and family! The Paradise Weddings team made sure their vision came to life effortlessly, all captured on camera by Esteban Bahena. With its stunning ocean views, warm hospitality, and all-inclusive experience, Dreams Jade was the perfect place to bring a dream wedding to life.
Mother-daughter dress shopping
Shopping for the perfect dress was a special moment shared with the bride's mom, sister, and niece. They visited Miosa Bride in Downtown Sacramento, and the second her mom laid eyes on it, she just knew it was the one. Trying it on confirmed what they all felt - it was absolutely perfect!
A relaxing wedding morning
The day started with a relaxed breakfast filled with laughter and excitement. While the boys headed to their suite, the girls got their hair and makeup done, ordered room service, and enjoyed every second leading up to the big moment.
The power of the presence of loved ones
Some of the most unforgettable moments included a heartfelt first look with both parents, the groom’s mother attending despite her fear of flying, and the unexpected gift of perfect weather sandwiched between two stormy days. It felt like their loved ones who had passed were watching over them, blessing them with sunshine.
