Dos Pueblos Ranch Black And White Wedding

Romantic wedding kiss under a sunlit tree in a forest setting

Michele has been dreaming about her wedding since she was five, so when she did become engaged to her best friend, David, the planning process was not that hard. This bride had a vision, and it came together like two pieces in a puzzle. Read on to hear from Michele and as always see more of this Dos Pueblos Ranch black and white wedding from Tyler Branch in the full gallery here. You will not want to miss all the photos, Tyler  has a way of capturing unexpected moments.

All of the bridesmaids had off the shoulder black bridesmaids dresses, but each held a different white bouquet. From baby's breath to cotton. So gorgeous and so incredibly unique. This was one of Michele's favorite elements of the day, and we can totally see why.

Most of the details were done by hand or by my mom or me, and ordered off etsy. the sign our nephew/ ring bearer carried before I walked down the aisle to see my husband for the first time that day, our personal sand ceremony (we mixed Arkansas dirt and California beach sand together in my husband's grandfather's old pickle jar)

Before we hear from Michele about their magical Goleta wedding location, we have to mention that all of these pews you see were handmade by her father specially for their ceremony. All we can say about that is ... AMAZING!

Because a wedding is a celebration and blending of two people and their families that is exactly what my focus became. My husband's family is from the south so I incorporated a little southern elegance and since my family are born and raised Californians, and I wanted to bring in a little bit of my roots too. After the site was chosen the rest of my planning really wasn't that hard. The site helped me focus my vision. We settle on the perfect location! It was a private ranch in Goleta, CA where we rented the barn space right next to the private beach. We used the barn as our reception site and across the road there was a magical forest location, which was absolutely perfect for our ceremony. We were married under an over 200 year old sycamore tree which just made the day all that more romantic.

On The Decor:I absolutely adored all we designed in the reception space. I never did choose wedding colors, which everyone was bugging me to do, but I decided to just stick with organic materials with lots of texture.
Our table decor was a mix of vintage doilies, moss, candelabras with balls of baby's breath, and tons of taper candles. One of my favorite things in the barn was the fabulous birch branch chandeliers that I had made for the barn. Basically all I wanted for this day was for it not to feel fake or overdone. I just wanted to feel like us and I really feel like with all the personal touches we accomplished that.
