The theme took inspiration from the style of Dolce & Gabbana, and the typical Sicilian style, with Red Roses, lemons and white flowers.
Rosalia (from Rimini) and Riccardo (from Reggio Emilia) met in July 2008 in Rimini, in a city in northern Italy near the sea, on an evening that was focused around Rosalia's brother (a DJ) and Japanese music. Rosalia and Riccardo met because both are big fans of this type of music.
After 4 years of meeting each other in the other one's city, Rosalia decided to move in with Riccardo in Reggio Emilia. They spent several years celebrating joys, struggling through sickness and just in general, enjoying life together with their two very curvy cats.
In 2014 they visited the island of Santorini and fall madly in love with it, so much so, that they decide to go there every year in the summer, and it has basically become their second home, with everything feeling so familiar.
Then on December 1st, 2017 Riccardo asks Rosy to marry him while they were in London. He popped the question in the middle of Leicester Square near the Christmas markets, what a wonderful surprise. They quickly decided that the perfect destination to get married would have to be the place that always made them feel at home: Santorini.
By taking a look at Rosalia's Instagram account, we knew this was not an ordinary bride! Everything needed to be perfect, down to the very last detail and by God they truly were.
Our beautiful bride, Rosalia is a fashion designer and that's a perfect trait if you want to design your own wedding! To be exact, she designed the bridesmaid's dresses, all of the reception decoration and her Frida Kahlo inspired bridal look at the reception dinner! In a few words, she was the wedding stylist and designer of her own event! She supervised every little detail and let us tell you, the result was stunning!
