Mandy & Max both live in Toronto but they decided to have a destination wedding in France with all of their friends and family members. This wedding is truly a fairytale wedding that takes place in one of the oldest and most magnificent castles in all of France.
Construction of this Chateau Challain began in 1847 and over 700 artisans were involved in the construction of it. The main architect involved is Louis Visconti who is known for designing the louvre extension. The inspiration behind the construction of this castle all started Louise-Ida de La Potherie and Le comte de La Rochefoucauld-Bayers. After they married, they wanted to create a refuge for themselves in their ancestral land.
