The internet is responsible for bringing people together since the mid 90's and is definitely the reason for the huge upswing in dating sites and/or social media marriages.
Welcome to the love story of Trevor and Becca! She was living in Phoenix, Arizona and he was from Vancouver BC, and simply put, would not have met without the world wide web. Our wedding took place at the Whispering Tree Ranch in the farm country of Laveen, Arizona. We were so blessed to get married at such a beautiful venue! I felt spoiled as I didn't have to do a ton of decorating because the venue in itself was so gorgeous and so unique. It was located in the middle of farm land with the mountains just a few miles in the distance
Our colors were yellow and a mint blue. My girls each chose their own style of dress in the same color and paired them with nude wedges. Which of course, they traded in for cowboy boots during the reception! They helped me make our flower bouquets of sunflowers, daisies, roses, and dried wheat steams! Trevor’s little sister was our flower girl. She wore a delicate lace dress and headband with cowboy boots and carried a burlap and lace basket filled with yellow flower petals.
My favorite moments of the day were during our ceremony. My older brother is a pastor and he married us. It was such a fun, emotional, and special moment for us to have such a personal ceremony and be married by someone who knows us so well! We laughed, cried, and prayed together as we became husband and wife under the swaying trees.
The "country vintage" feel was everywhere - with old wooden barrels, a vintage typewriter, cute DIY signs around every corner, a chicken coop converted into a bar, and lights and chandeliers hanging among the trees - it couldn't have been anymore of the perfect setting for our wedding!
After the ceremony we danced under the twinkle lights as we watched the sun set on our perfect day. Our guests watch from a variety of unique tables, each draped with a burlap and lace runner over reclaimed wood and mismatched chairs. Food was served on delicate vintage china and the guests treated themselves to mini cupcakes and lemon bars that I made myself instead of a traditional wedding cake. The whole day felt like a dream come true!
Their Digital Love Story:
Trevor and I met online January of 2013 - we had one of those crazy relationships that you never see coming! We both had an account on Christianmingle.com and didn't think anything would actually come of it, but God always does great things in marvelous ways!
Trevor lived in Vancouver, BC and I lived in Arizona. My mom encouraged me to try online dating; telling me that maybe there was a guy for me who lived a little farther away - maybe an hour or two from home. She had no idea I'd end up finding the man of my dreams in another country! What can I say? I couldn't help myself! Trevor was my dream man! He made me laugh, was a "guys guy" but still so sweet with such a tender heart. And he was always covered in dirt from his passion of riding dirt bikes - right up my alley having grown up with all brothers!
After only 7 months of knowing each other we were engaged and married by the upcoming March. What a crazy but beautiful year!
