A Surprise Ceremony In Tuscany On A Sailboat
With their guests and wedding party all decked out in formal attire, Todd and Yesim had to bring it when it came to their own wedding looks and you bet they did! Yesim wore a beautifully sculpted strapless gown from Jesus Peirò that flared just below the hips. Then, for the ceremony, she donned an absolutely EPIC puff-sleeved cape that we will be seeing in our dreams for a while. Todd looked equally dapper in a chic black tuxedo, black bow tie and all.
Yesim and Todd met online and embarked on a unique love story. Their wedding became a spectacular experience, characterized by timeless elegance and Tuscan authenticity. Every detail, from the decorations to the culinary delights, was carefully crafted to create a magical and engaging atmosphere for guests from around the world. The enchanting beauty of Tuscany served as the backdrop for an unforgettable wedding. Yesim and Todd, a couple from Atlanta, chose this land rich in history, culture, and breathtaking landscapes to exchange their vows. "I went to high school in Lucca through an exchange program with my German school. I was 14 years old when I first came and kept friendships throughout the years–35 years of friendship! I kept coming and visiting them. I always wanted to live here. We love Tuscany and the lifestyle," Yesim recounts. Their wedding, meticulously organized by Wedding Planners in Tuscany, became a complete Tuscan experience, enriched with a series of events and activities that made their stay truly unforgettable.
Yesim, Todd, and their guests immersed themselves in the local culture and traditions, spending five beautiful days in Tuscany. They indulged in culinary delights and exquisite wines during evenings at traditional restaurants. They explored the treasures of Lucca through fascinating bike rides and guided tours. The adventure began with a charming welcome dinner, and a pizza party held at a beautiful historic villa near Lucca. Here, together with their loved ones, they savored authentic Italian pizza prepared in front of them by an expert pizzaiolo, accompanied by delectable wines, in an atmosphere of joy and sharing. The day after the wedding, Yesim and Todd bid farewell to their guests at an Italian barbecue, held at another lovely property nestled among stunning vineyards, with breathtaking views.
The highlight of their journey was the wedding itself, celebrated in the splendid setting of Villa Grabau, one of the most enchanting historic villas in Tuscany. The ceremony took place in the park, near a fountain, with the magnificent facade of the villa as a backdrop. "For the ceremony, we chose a classic and refined style, set in the beautiful surroundings of Villa Grabau's park. We created an arch of white flowers by L'arcobaleno L'arte Del Fiore near the fountain, adding depth and beauty to the space," explains Benedetta Bianchini from Wedding Planners in Tuscany. Solid wood chairs with a distressed finish, flower arrangements, and a white carpet completed the setup. Yesim made her grand entrance in a Vintage Fiat 500, while a harpist provided the musical accompaniment for the ceremony. A tenor sang enchanting arias, from Schubert's "Ave Maria" to Giacomo Puccini's "Mio Babbino Caro", paying tribute to Lucca and the beloved region of Tuscany.
After the ceremony, the atmosphere transformed into an elegant country-chic style, infused with Tuscan charm. Natural materials blended with refined tableware and an abundance of pink flowers, creating a stunning visual effect reminiscent of the toile de Jouy tablecloth. Lampshades made of different materials and placed at varying heights added dynamism, warmth, and originality to the decor. Menus adorned with a beautiful watercolor depicting the entrance gate of the venue added a special touch. The color palette featured blush, cream, white, and antique pink. Together, they created an elegant and sophisticated atmosphere, making the wedding an unforgettable event. "The Tuscan decorations and design were exceptional–all our guests said it was magical, and they had never been to a wedding like this. We had 22 nationalities, and they all loved it! The food, wine, cake, and retro Italian Fiat were all amazing! I loved the gelato, pizza, and prosecco truck too! The tenor singing Puccini's compositions was so Tuscan and connected to Lucca! Absolutely exceptional and very well planned and organized!" emphasized Yesim. The complete experience, enriched with cultural activities, breathtaking landscapes, and a warm ambiance, made this wedding truly unforgettable for the couple and their guests. Yesim and Todd created a wedding that embodies the true spirit of Tuscany and will forever hold a place in the hearts of those privileged to be part of it.
