This cute couple fell in love with pictures of the modern destination venue Amente and its panoramic views as soon as it was proposed by their planner Claire at Lefkas Weddings. Bride Carmela wanted to share the beauty of Lefkada with soon-to-be husband Matthew and his family as it holds a special place in her heart as the Greek island home of her mother's family. They invited 70 guests from Canada and Greece to celebrate with them, beginning with a marriage blessing on a platform that felt like the edge of the world!

Exquisite Things designed the elegant and minimalist script paper goods for the wedding day.
The bride wore an elegant Paloma Blanca gown from Kleinfeld Hudson Bay and the groom chose classic tailoring in light blue by Canadian brand Lief Horsens. The bridesmaids wore full-length dresses with a flutter sleeve from David's Bridal.
700m above Lefkada's stunning west coast sits Amente, the ultimate sunset dining experience in the Greek Ionian Islands. The terrace offers a sweeping view of the famous turquoise waters and olive-filled hillsides below. In September it became the venue of dreams filled with an abundance of delicate white flowers to celebrate the wedding of Canadian couple Carmela and Matthew.
The luxe ceremony decor included a 10m flower-lined aisle for the bride's entrance, floral ceremony columns and floating arrangements by Gourioti Flowers. The bride carried an all-white bouquet of lilies and peonies and the stunning floral-filled wedding was created using white hydrangeas, lilies, lisianthus and king chrysanthemum.
Accompanied by a string duo, the couple exchanged vows in front of their international loved ones amidst panoramic views of the ocean.

The Party Went Until Brunch At This Black And White Greek Wedding
Couple portrait images were taken by photographer Lense2Lense at both Amente and Cape Lefkada, known for the dramatic beauty of the southern tip of the island which is the site of ancient ruins of a temple of Apollo.
The whole event was expertly filmed by filmmaker Angelos Lagos and his team. Check out their wedding film below:
The vision for the wedding design by Lefkas Weddings was chic and elegant with a color palette of all-white with silver and black details. The couple wanted the colors to work in harmony with the venue and view. Reception decor included an utterly romantic sweetheart table with a full white floral garland surrounded by glass candles. Each guest table had a tall centerpiece in a similar style to the floral stands used for the ceremony. The black and silver highlights requested by the bride were added with silver filigree placemats and the white perspex stationery with black script.
The day was expertly timed to capture the sunset as the backdrop for the dinner whilst the mellow vibes of talented saxophonist Tom Giannakopoulos filled the air.The newlyweds made their entrance and in Greek tradition cut their four-tier wedding cake with cascading decoration of real flowers before taking their seats.
Heartfelt speeches including a tribute to the groom's late father were held during the four-course menu of contemporary Greek cuisine.
The party began with some traditional dances before everyone filled the floor dancing the night away under the stars. A table of 'glyka' (sweet treats) was requested by the couple for the guests as a thank you which included favorite Greek sweets such as touloumpakia, amygdalata, and mini kataifi.
