After meeting in Singapore 11 years prior, Michael and Kris threw a destination wedding in Phuket featuring a neutral ombre palette with the perfect pops of rainbow pride throughout. ME Events Phuket was honored to organize this LGBTQ-themed wedding at COMO Point Yamu Phuket, an elegant and contemporary resort by Italian designer, Paola Navone, with bright colors, spacious layout, and stunning panoramic views. The entire day was full of wedding magic, a.k.a. love, laughter, fun, and intimacy, all rolled into one beautiful celebration. A muted color foundation

Michael and Kris set the foundation for a beautiful neutral color palette with leather accessories for their outfits by Sacoor Brothers, terracotta suspenders by Hugo Boss, and the perfect feathery-accented boutonniere by I AM FLOWER featuring a creamy, muted orange rose.

The perfect outdoor wedding favor

The grooms provided the perfect pops of Pride to their guests - that also happened to be the perfect favors for an outdoor wedding! - when they had rainbow fans laid out on every seat during the ceremony, complementing their terracotta color choice. Each fan was monogrammed with M & K for the grooms' first names. This favor was also the perfect pop of color against the otherwise neutral palette, accompanied also by a rainbow ceremony seating chart.

Floral arch: From ceremony through reception

Michael and Kris were able to take their stunning ceremony floral arch by I AM FLOWER and integrate it into the reception using classic hanging Edison bulbs. This arch was the perfect backdrop for the sand ceremony they opted to incorporate into their ceremony that included specially designed containers for them to have as keepsakes.

A custom "family" tree guest book

After being invited to take their seats thanks to a seating chart featuring candid photos of the grooms, guests were invited to add their fingerprint "leaves" in a variety of rainbow colors to the tree-inspired guest book.

An ombre reception palette

Michael and Kris developed their muted foundational color palette into an ombre masterpiece with peachy napkins and terracotta table runners. ME Events designed everything to the couple's requests: a mix of rainbow colors, along with their favorite terracotta shade and imagery of their two dogs. A highlight was a giant Polaroid frame bearing the sign, "Love is love," against a backdrop of the sea, as well as two large light-up letters that helped light the space as the sun went down.

Simple but unique wedding cake

The wedding cake by Joob Joob Bakery was a simple yet elegant three-tiered red velvet cake. It featured a unique cake topper cutout of the couple and their two dogs, and with the text: "Mr. and Mr."
