After a private poolside proposal, Christina and Bart hosted a stunning Mediterranean wedding featuring natural, warm colors that matched the Venetian estate at which the wedding was held. While they opted to not use a specific designer, the entire event was inspired by the couple and their preferences for a romantic style and assisted by Unique Wedding Corfu, all complementing The Courti Estate, including through the request of a summer chic dress code for their guests.
Christina wore Galia Lahav and Netta BenShabu couture gowns with shoe by Savrani Creations. Bart opted for a dark blue tuxedo by Carouso Menswear from Oger with shoes by Magnianni.
Floral design by Leonidas Rammos consisted of romantic elements and Mediterranean notes, including olive leaves. Bouquets and arrangements featured white hydrangeas, white roses, delphinium, white lisianthus, pink roses, and more, courtesy of Ramos Floral Structures, and captured on camera by Deux Foskolos.
Although the couple did not host a religious ceremony, a female Protestant priest - Barbara de Groot - performed their wedding to marry two people of two religions and two cultures while emphasizing common ground. While Bart is typically the wordier of the two, surprisingly it was Christina who had written more than 500 words for her vows. Despite Barbara proposing a few amendments, the couple decided to move forward with their original vows in order to allow each to say exactly what they wanted to say on this special day.

Food for the reception by Mamalis Catering included a Mediterranean buffet with local cuisine details. Live cooking stations included a salad bar, ceviche, pasta alla ruota, picanha carving station, and more. Neolea Sparkling Wine provided the welcome drinks and a selection of Italian white and red wines. The cocktail bar by Olivar Suites was focused on four cocktails: A Hugo, Negroni, Elderflower Spritz, and a refreshing melon/cucumber summer breeze.
During the welcome drinks, classical music was performed by pianist Socratis Toulopoulos before Molinari from Elegant DJs and More took over for the reception. Because Christina and Bart wanted to create a surprise for their guests who had travelled from afar, they chose to take dance lessons and surprise guests with a romantic waltz.
The couple cut into a cake by Papagiorgis Patisserie that incorporated the theme of the wedding by adding golden olive leaves to the creation.
