Mexico City Destination Wedding Inspiration
El Buho Cenote Wedding Ceremony In Tulum, Mexico
Magical Elopement In Oaxaca, Mexico
If you get married in a historic city, a couple's portrait session while you stroll through town is an absolute MUST. In a crowded setting like this one, it's easy to get lost, but not this couple. We love that they went with a bright white solid for the bride and kept the groom's look to a pure black suit with a bright white shirt. While these are neutrals, the contrast against the pastel backdrop of the town really made them stand out.
We wanted to incorporate neutral tones but also play with the beautiful colors Oaxaca has to offer. We also wanted to have some of the architectural style along with details that scream Oaxaca.
When you're searching for a destination wedding venue, the most important thing to look for is good bones–you'd be shocked to know how much money it will save you! We love that this team worked with the already existing wrought iron work on the antique stuccoed wall as the backdrop for this intimate ceremony. Ornato Eventos created a simple, yet statement floral arrangement that stretched the length of the iron gate to incorporate the wedding colors into the ceremony. And voila–that's it! And just look how incredible it turned out!
The love of this team for their shoot location is evident. It's almost as if they've walked these streets a thousand times before because they managed to completely capture the streets of Oaxaca in the color-story reflected in the reception tablescape. Deep wood tables mirrored aged wood doors. Patinaed green, a foggy celeste, lavender, and shades of peach were represented in the form of tapered candlesticks and flowers in mix-and-match bud vases that mimicked the eclectic market stalls.
The couple is honestly the sweetest. Their love is so delicate, romantic, and simple. But simple in a way that makes others stop in their tracks because they don't need to do much to show their love since it just radiates with anything they do. They both travel for a living so Oaxaca was the perfect spot. They are carefree and go with the flow which made the experience even better.
